Sustainable Natural Bohemian Wedding Ideas

Oh dear readers are you going to LOVE today’s styled inspiration wedding shoot. It is just beautiful on so many levels and we have been so looking forward to sharing it with you all.

Put together and captured by the incredibly talented Jrène Studer Photography, this gorgeous shoot took place at an industrial meets Nordic wedding venue in beautiful Switzerland, whose white washed walls and unique natural vibes offered the perfect backdrop for Jrène’s sustainable bohemian theme. With the addition of dried flowers, pampas, a Rue De Seine wedding dress, Moroccan and Nordic accents, a natural oatmeal colour palette and a real life couple, it is ticking so many of our wedding boxes.

When asked about the inspiration behind her shoot, Jrène said…

Soon it was clear that many dried flowers and grasses, especially pampas grasses, should serve as decoration and background. We were inspired by the sustainability of dried flowers and so the whole look should be natural. At the same time we wanted to incorporate many elements in a boho style. Wild but harmonious and opulent with a certain lightness. We would like to inspire our couples to this sustainable wedding trend and convince them that with the chosen natural materials gorgeous and contemporary wedding settings can be created.

Get your index finger poised lovely people and get ready to pin your little heart out! There is so much to love in this shoot. The cake, the flowers, the portrait photography, the place names, the woven baskets filled with pampas, the woven fans, the soft furnishings, the low tablescape, the little dishes with candles – the list goes on! It is a brilliant example of how beautiful a sustainable wedding can be and is full of lots of ideas for every aspect of your day.

Dried Flowers, Pampas & Natural Bohemian Style

The idea for this styled shoot was born together with a former bride of mine who had made her passion for flowers and decoration her profession. Her style matches my ideas perfectly and I knew, together we could create a new wedding trend that would inspire our future bridal couples.

Soon it was clear that many dried flowers and grasses, especially pampas grasses, should serve as decoration and background. We were inspired by the sustainability of dried flowers and so the whole look should be natural. At the same time we wanted to incorporate many elements in a boho style. Wild but harmonious and opulent with a certain lightness. For the colour scheme we deliberately chose warm and light natural tones, as we also wanted to include natural materials in the decoration. Later we had the idea to add an oriental touch to the Styled Shoot with exotic accents.

I already knew the location from previous shootings and with its bright look it fitted perfectly to our setting. A bijoux in the middle of the city of Lucerne (Switzerland), which was created with a lot of passion by the owner.

Feminine, Playful With a Touch of
Boho Flair…

Through Instagram I got in contact with our model Lea. She and her boyfriend Thomas are a wonderful couple and were immediately ready to model for us. Nici from Wild Spirit Lovers Bridal found the perfect dress for Lea, which emphasized her look. Feminine, playful and with a touch of boho flair. Combined with a hat to make the styling even more special. Thomas chose a casual look, combined with a waistcoat and bracelets, which was very stylish.

A Lush Cloud of Flowers…

For the wedding arch the florist Fabienne chose an arrangement with pampas grass, which was not a classic wedding arch, but more a charming background. Also the wedding table should be special and free of traditions and so we decided to use a floor setting. Many carpets and cushions decorated the wooden table, which was formerly used as a door. Another highlight was the lush cloud of flowers above the table, created out of many dried flowers.

The setting was completed by the two-storey wedding cake, which was perfectly matched to our concept. A fine dried flower arrangement decorated the beautiful cake.

The combination of space, colours and style was, I would say, successful. We would like to inspire our couples to this sustainable wedding trend and convince them that with the chosen natural materials gorgeous and contemporary wedding settings can be created.
