Wild & Bohemian Beach Wedding Inspiration

Oh where do we start with today’s stunning elopement inspired wedding shoot. From the wild beach setting to the bohemian dream of a concept – it is beautiful from start to finish and we have been so looking forward to sharing it with you all.

Put together and captured by the brilliant Chris and Célie of Bel Esprit Photography, Souvenirs Sauvages (translated “wild memories”) tells the hypothetical story of Yasmine and Max – a free-spirited couple who chose to elope to a beach in France for their wedding day.

The theme, which features all of the inspiring details you would expect from a bohemian beach wedding (Yasmine’s dress is simply gorgeous), was inspired by memories and souvenirs from travels they have made together throughout their relationship, as well as their thirst for having fun and living for the moment.

With a personal ceremony on a rugged cliff, swimming in the sea, and a picnic on the beach under a naked tipi, this shoot really does capture everything we would imagine an intimate elopement for two, by the sea, would be. It is a delight and has us dreaming now of beach days in the sun. Bring on the summer!

When The Old is The New…

The idea of this shoot was to inspire people (and ourselves) with souvenirs – memories. Using old gold as if it was your grandmas, feathers as if you had picked them up on your travels, a tipi that you built yourself – we wanted to make it feel real and personal.

We wanted the shoot to be bohemian, but also something else, something new. As if the old was the new new.

We wanted warm vibes: to feel the warmth of the sun, the golden beaches, red cliffs. We are lucky that France provides us with beautiful places.

This project has been on our mind since more or less a year, and we have been scouting ever since (even on our holidays in the South of France). With Covid measures in France, we took a lot of risks to do this shoot, and had to find suppliers at the last moment, like the swimwear and cake that were found only days before shooting. We also had a hard time with the weather, it was very windy, and there was lots of clouds – luckily we managed to make the most out of it.
