Oh do we have such a treat for your eyes this afternoon lovely people with today’s gorgeous, and I mean GORGEOUS, styled inspiration shoot.

Captured to perfection by the incredibly lovely and talented Sammy Taylor Photography, and featuring some of my favourite wedding suppliers, this shoot takes us on an eco-friendly bohemian journey of macrame, dried flowers, lace wedding dresses, warm autumnal colours, wild meadows and beautiful rustic tablescapes. It is rich with bohemian bridal inspiration, especially when it comes to ideas for your bridal portraits, and we have fallen completely and utterly in love with it. What makes it that extra bit special as well, is its desire to explore wedding ideas, and suppliers, that promote sustainability. The dried flowers and ethos of Xyris Botanicals is the perfect example of this…

Laura from Xyris Botanicals exclusively grows all her own flowers on her Farm and forages for everything else she needs. She is hugely passionate about being eco friendly and is so inspiring when it comes to her ethical approach within her own business. On this occasion she used all dried florals for the bouquet and the head crown and the result was just mind blowing.

As well as Laura, Chloe of Chloe Ainsley Creative, who provided the beautiful modern yet rustic stationery, also has a huge focus on the environment and consciously strives to work with eco-friendly materials…

I’m playing my part to help to care for the Earth and the creatures in it. The Studio endeavours to take the environment into consideration when working on creative projects to find ways of being eco-friendly whilst not compromising on creativity! I continue to learn from others about reducing wastage, recycling and seeking out biodegradable, local and sustainable solutions.

We are so excited to be sharing this with you today. It is the perfect accompaniment to the gorgeous weather so pour yourself a nice cold drink of something (mines a G&T) and be prepared to get lost in these boho rustic vibes.

Bohemian Rustic Luxe…

Words by Sammy Taylor Photography

As a wedding photographer who has mostly captured ‘modern & contemporary’ UK and destination weddings over the last 8 years in the business, I have always wanted and craved being immersed creatively in more ‘free spirited’ vibes. I love ALL my brides and everything about their big day, but with having my summer season postponed (due to C9) I was able to focus on expanding my photography portfolio a little more with different themes and styles.

With the idea of inspiring my lovely couples to consider lots of ways to style their big day, I decided that it would be a full-on ‘Boho Luxe’ theme. From wanting to shoot warm tones, earthy florals and gorgeous detailing on the dress the vision started to evolve from there.

Even though it was my dream to showcase some Boho bride styling, this was very much a collaborative shoot with my good friends The Little Wedding Warehouse and Xyris Botanicals.

Roxanne from The Little Wedding Warehouse, most known for her ‘husband/wife’ wedding and furniture props styling company is also a mega talented macrame designer. She really wanted to showcase her skills using the ceremony arch that Ed, her hubby built. And as you can see, her macrame gave our bride ‘angel wings’! Additionally, the place mats under the plates are all handcrafted by her too, and have already been super popular with brides. Her talents allowed my shoot to have all the boho/rustic vibes I was after. She teamed up with A Touch of Vintage with her gorgeous glass and tableware to help fully style the table.

Laura from Xyris Botanicals is also another mega talented team member. She exclusively grows all her own flowers on her Farm and forages for everything else she needs. She is hugely passionate about being eco friendly and is so inspiring when it comes to her ethical approach within her own business. On this occasion she used all dried florals for the bouquet and the headcrown and the result was just mind blowing – as always.

As for Oak Tree Barn Weddings; I chose this gorgeous new wedding venue in Tonbridge as it offers the most perfect ‘free spirited boho’ bride vibes and it really was a fab backdrop for all my ideas. From woodlands, to rustic barn, and a ton of countryside hills and fields it was just a dream. You can pretty much do anything you like there at Oak Tree Barn and the owners are so accommodating. Not to mention the sunset that you get there, it made the stunning dress detail stand out like a dream!

All the other mega suppliers added the most wonderful input to this shoot and I am so happy with the result. I hope that the gallery encourages couples to look into more styling for their big day and to check out all the amazing talent involved.
