Punk Rock Boho is the theme of today’s awesome alternative wedding styled shoot put together by Kent wedding photographer Pierra G Photography and featuring a pretty special line up of wedding suppliers. Suppliers who are talented, unique and outdoor focused and couldn’t be more perfect for the bohemian festival wedding niche.
Created to push the boundaries of her own creative skills, Pierra wanted to curate a shoot that explored alternative wedding decor and bridal/groom styling ideas…
What inspired me to shoot this styled shoot was mainly because I wanted to do something different and really push my photography and stylist skills. Every styled shoot I do I try and make it completely different. I really like to inspire people and hopefully at least make them see something they like and maybe incorporate that into their own work or vision. Whether that be for a future styled shoot or a real life wedding.

We LOVE the black forest gateaux cake by Bake To The Future (what a name!), the personalised bridal boots from Wedding Converse, the florals by Bohotanical and the AMAZING grazing table by Em’s Kitchen. We also love the relaxed punk rock boho styling of the bride and groom and the way the bride’s dried flower crown works so beautifully with her relaxed and loose boho plait.
There is so much inspiration to take from this shoot, both from an ideas perspective and for finding some very cool outdoor focused wedding suppliers too.
We asked Pierra a few questions about the shoot and the Punk Rock Boho theme.
What was it about The Winding House that made it the perfect venue for your shoot?
The reason I chose The Winding House was because it’s a very striking building with character but also a blank canvas which makes it perfect for any theme in mind for a wedding.
What can you tell us about the bride’s style?
The brides style was a mixture between boho and punk rock. The dress choice I wanted something different but also pretty. The back of the dress really attracted me to picking it. Utterly gorgeous!
Can you give more details of the glorious food?! What flavour is that cake?!
The food we had was a grazing table which we felt went well with the theme. The colours of the figs and berries really fitted in well. The cake was a black forest gateaux with mixed berry fruits on top.
Aside from being alternative and outside of the ‘traditional weddings’ what was the vibe of the shoot?
The vibe of the shoot was indie and some rock n roll elements. We just wanted a fun and epic shoot to show the possibilities are endless with different types of suppliers coming together.
Are the models a real life couple? Is that why you chose them?
The models are a real life married couple. I chose them because of the chemistry I saw. I always like to shoot real emotion and they did not disappoint at all.
