We are turning the sophisticated levels right up on Festival Brides today with an elegant, modern and luxurious styled wedding shoot put together by Sammy Taylor Photography for Amore Workshops, and captured to absolute perfection by Osman of Wolf & Co Photography. Think a monochrome colour palette, super stylish ‘fine dining’ decor, stripped back minimalist flowers, STUNNING narrative photography (we just adore Osman’s signature editorial style and the way he flirts with light and dark within his images), modern bridal inspiration and, as always, unique on trend ideas for your wedding day – especially for those stylish couples amongst you who are looking for micro-wedding inspiration as well as alternative ideas for your bridal and groom portraits.

When asked about the inspiration behind her fashion forward bridal shoot, Sammy says…

Imagine simple yet bold statements, showcasing some stunning gowns by Nikeen Asar. Manipulating light to create some beautiful and artistic editorial vibes for my workshop attendees (window shadows / smoke machine / natural light). The whole vibe was more about fashion and editorial bridal content.

Beautiful and artistic are most certainly the words we would use to describe each and every element within this shoot. From the marble effect on the 4 tiered wedding cake to the gorgeous veil imagery featured near the end – we love it all. It exudes contemporary romance and offers something a little bit different from the bohemian styling we know and love on Festival Brides.

Osman shares with us more details on capturing Minimalist Monochrome.

Elegant and Refined…

Words by Osman Marfo-Gyasi

I signed up for this workshop by Sammy as soon as I saw the moodboard. Overall the theme was something I wanted in my portfolio as my photography and editing style plays very much on contrast and form which a black and white theme leads itself to perfectly!

It was the first shoot of the year and a perfect way to easy myself back behind the camera and get creative again.

The dresses by Nikeen Asar were classic yet modern and the decor and tableware was bold but elegant.
