Good morning beautifuls, and welcome to another week of Festival Brides love and inspo! Hopefully you all had a good weekend and feel rested for the week ahead? If you’re in the midst of planning your 2019 wedding, I suggest you sit back, close down the wedding spreadsheet and check out today’s first instalment of real wedding joy!

Melania and Damaso were married in the heart of Spain on the largest of the Balearic Islands. Their pretty, outdoor festival-inspired, Provence style wedding features a low-key vibe, live music, haybales and the most stunning homemade dreamcatchers. The ceremony setting is totally divine; if you’re thinking of an outdoor woodland celebration for your big day, I’d say to use this one as a guide on how to create the perfectly natural, romantic and ethereal wedding. We love the seating, the English wildflowers (Lavender is especially beautiful when it comes to a rustic, boho, woodland setting!) and the all-round happiness that radiates from this union.

Photographer Abraham García took care of the images and wedding planners Pasion Eventos pulled together a top hitlist of suppliers for this laidback, Med wedding. And styling just gets hotter from ceremony to reception, as the long tresle tables glow with multi-coloured, vibrant glassware, handwritten signs and an array of Spanish influences to create a lush party atmosphere. One of the best bits is that most of it was DIY with a little help from Melania’s mum. We just LOVE everything about Melania and Damaso’s wedding….

Hope you do too!

Anniversary Engagement Under the Stars

We always go out on special occasions, so on our anniversary in December 2017, we were leaving a lovely restaurant called Sa Burguesa and under the beautiful sky full of stars, he proposed.

Bespoke Wedding Gown with Soft Pink Veil

Miguel Angel Company tailor-made my wedding dress. From the very first fitting appointment I felt so comfortable and the designer just knew how to create everything that I envisioned. I wore a soft pink veil, also from Miguel Angel, which was a gift from one of my students. My jewellery was from Joyería Piña Grau

Damaso’s suit was from Ramón Sanjurjo

Weekend Gathering for Friends and Family

Our planner showed us some venues and all of them were perfect, but we chose this one because all of our friends could stay with us the whole weekend. We really wanted an organic party within a natural setting surrounded by friends, family and lots of love. Our main inspirations were based on the elements, light, music, trees and flowers.

DIY Décor and The Most Incredible Wedding Planner

Our wedding planner from Pasion Eventos took care of everything and thank goodness that they did! Or wedding was even better than we could have imagined with their help.

We hung dreamcatchers that were handcrafted by my mum, with personalised little pots and wooden signs.

Lavender, Rosemary and Wild Flowers

We chose wild flowers to suit the environment and organic setting of the venue. The styling and the whole atmosphere was laidback and natural, just like our floral choices! We used lavender, rosemary and a variation of wild flowers.

DIY Ceremony with Swaying Dreamcatchers and Garden Wild Flowers

The ceremony was officiated by one of our closest friends. It was really emotional with lots of love in every single word. We had straw covered pillows, baskets with wild flowers and dreamcatchers hanging from trees all handmade by my mum! We had beautiful live music playing during the ceremony too….

Natural Wedding Photographer

Our photographer was Abraham García and we chose him because one of our friends recommended him. He was absolutely perfect! All of the photos are very natural and he got the style just right – this really was important for us.

Lavender, Rosemary and Wild Flowers

We chose wild flowers to suit the environment and organic setting of the venue. The styling and the whole atmosphere was laidback and natural, just like our floral choices! We used lavender, rosemary and a variation of wild flowers.

Desserts, Cookies and DJ for the After-Party

We decided not to have a traditional wedding cake and chose desserts and home-made cookies instead! We had live music throughout the whole of the ceremony and then the celebrations really began when the DJ started playing for the after party!

First Dance

We danced a 7 minute choreographed piece for our first dance! I’m a dancer, so we created a special dance just for our day. We mixed a variation of styles, and without any doubt, the best moment was when Damaso threw out some moves from Saturday Night Fever!

Favourite Moment

The entire day was special but the ceremony was the most emotional moment for us and for everyone else too…

Any Advice?

We highly recommend hiring a wedding planner! Without the help of Pasion Eventos, our the wedding just wouldn’t have been the same. They took care of every single detail which meant that all we had left to do was enjoy our day!
