Where do I start with this STUNNING, magical, sustainable elopement shoot, captured in a forest in Switzerland? I mean, just one look at these images and you can see how absolutely beautiful this inspiration is. From the wild ferns on the olive green stationery to the tranquil waterfall setting, which offers the most perfect getaway for an intimate elopement, it is all so beautiful and offers great ideas for an intimate elopement wedding.

Put together by Saskia and Ivan of Simply Si Weddings, and featuring photography by Kreativ Wedding, Into The Wild tells the story of real life couple Chantal & Marvin, their symbolic vows and Simple Si Weddings desire to showcase to couples that any location can be used for your elopement setting – even if it is in the middle of a forest! Saskia says…

We wanted to bring the feeling of a laid back tropical waterfall elopement to Switzerland! You can get destination vibes anywhere you just need to know how to style it, and that’s what we wanted to show.
We found this beautiful forest near Zurich with a creek and 2 waterfalls. 1 smaller one but quite strong with lots of water and the other one was almost 25 meters high and more like a natural rain shower. Magical, and so versatile that we were able to create different spaces with different backgrounds and views.

We wanted to be as sustainable as possible so we opted for a “greenery” styling with no fresh flowers. We wanted the table to look like it was decorated with natural greens collected from a romantic walk in the forest.

Evoking a sense of escapism, passion and enduring romance, Simply Si Weddings has created such magical elopement inspiration within this shoot. Keeping things simple, the table scape is overflowing with different textures and expels the perfect ambience for the natural setting. We also ADORE the chemistry between Chantal & Marvin which has been captured so perfectly through the lens of Kreativ Wedding.

Enjoy this beauty lovers. It is most certainly a keeper!

Into The Wild…

We work mainly in Switzerland and Italy, but are happy to travel anywhere our amazing couples would love to tie the knot.

Beside real weddings we also love to create styled shoots, where we can experiment a bit and let our creativity run riot. We love to work with destination photographers Kreativ Wedding as we share the same enthusiasm about what we do.

As we always work with real couples it is super important to us that our styled shoots feel as authentic as possible. Real couple – madly in love – and happy to exchange their symbolic vows during the shoot. That’s what inspires us most.

This time we wanted to bring the feeling of a laid back tropical waterfall elopement to Switzerland! You can get destination vibes anywhere, you just need to know how to style it! And that’s what we wanted to show.

We found this beautiful forest near Zurich with a creek and 2 waterfalls. 1 smaller one but quite strong with lots of water and the other one was almost 25 meters high and more like a natural rain shower. Magical!!!
It was so versatile that we were able to create different spaces with different backgrounds and views.

We placed the table on a tiny island in the riverbed and it had the perfect size for it. It felt so intimate and tranquil, the lovely lounge area with grazing table and dessert table. I was quite surprised that Anne, the photographer was able to take some pics of it before we all rushed there to feast.

The first look was held on the rocks before the rain “shower,” and the ceremony located at the pond with the remarkable waterfall as a backdrop and where we all had a little plunge in after the shoot!

This place was just perfect! Beyond amazing. Especially because our models have a strong bond to Bali where they spend a couple of months each year. It was just like that – our little magical Swiss Bali getaway.

We wanted to be as sustainable as possible so we opted for a “greenery” styling with no fresh flowers. We wanted the table to look like it was decorated with natural greens collected from a romantic walk in the forest. Luckily our florist had quite a lot of different ferns, grasses and moss in her yard, which we decorated in old Gin bottles which we got from several bars in our city. We just made a call on Instagram that we would like to collect brown Gin bottles and they were all so happy to help. To add a bit of contrast the greenery was mixed with some dried flowers and grasses in natural colours which was a perfect match.

As a highlight we wanted to add a little quirky detail as well and the fabulous “Le Bianche Margherite” made us woodland animals out of iron wire which we used as place card holders, cake topper and as decoration for the small vegan grazing table we had built around our tiny lounge area. It was such a lovely detail and exactly what we had hoped for. Who doesn’t want to have cute rabbits, squirrels, foxes and deers on their wedding.

Our biggest DIY challenge was for sure the birch teepee, which we never had made before. It took us about 2 hours to carry all the trees down to the waterfall and attach them to create the teepee. Definitely a highlight but a lot trickier than we thought. But it worked out and the result was amazing!

The whole shooting was an unforgettable experience for all of us and when we received the pictures we couldn’t believe that it was indeed not somewhere in the tropics but actually just around the corner. We absolutely love it!
