For those of you that are planning a ceremony or marquee reception by a lake and are looking for more waterfront ideas and inspiration, this shoot is for you!

Captured in the North East of Italy at a beautiful lake close to the city of Treviso, this shoot was inspired by, ‘spontaneity, youth, a love for nature, animals and a touch of cinema,’ as Claudio, the creative mind and stylist behind the shoot explains…

Spontaneity, youth, love for nature, animals and a touch of “cinema.” This is what I imagined for this styled shoot. I love the fact that we have matched geometry (the arch, the glasses, the napkin, the stationery, the cake) and nature together. Geometry and Nature are very different but if they respect each other they can live together. The message is that diversities create harmony.

Using an Autumnal colour palette of green, dark red and burgundy and with bridal and groom styling that echoes that of a bohemian traveler, we are loving the overall vibe of this shoot.

Look out for the beautiful rich tones of the flowers in the ceremony area against the natural backdrop of the lake – it is beautiful.

Claudia Carrara talks us through the concept and styling of the shoot as well as the fabulous suppliers involved.

Hypnotic Colours…

I love green, dark red and burgundy because I find them hypnotic. I’m also a big fan of the rock band Queen and I wanted to make a tribute to Freddie Mercury and Co. using their song “I was for to love you”. I have also used a part of the lyrics as table holder.

I’m obsessed by small details and I enjoyed styling the table setting. All the objects belong to me and some of them are antiques (like the glasses coming from an old trousseau from Apulia. They are totally handcraft and one of a kind).

An Old Movie…

I have a passion for vintage cars and for this shoot we have had the great privilege to use a FIAT Topolino which perfectly matched with our colour palette. I love that part of the shoot because it reminds me an old movie from 1940s… I must also say that Daniela, the photographer, has done a great job. She is very talented like all the crew. The couple ara a real one and the dog, named Tao, belongs to them. They are a model furry family.

The venue of this shoot is located in the north east of Italy ( close to the city of Treviso). It’s a beatiful place and very inspiring.
