Happy Thursday lovely people! The end of the week is near and to celebrate we are getting our fiesta party hats on with this AWESOME and uplifting styled shoot, sent all the way from the beautiful landscapes of Toronto, Canada by Attia Events.

Any wedding inspiration shoot that comes with an abundance of smiles, vibrant colour and fun decor will always gets a big thumbs up from us, but Funky Fiesta in-particular has got extra points! We love that the creatives involved have brought the vibrancy of a Mexican inspired fiesta to the lush green and earthy setting of a woodland. The natural beauty of the trees, and the wooden tree house, works so well as a backdrop to make those bright colours pop, whilst balancing them too. We love it and really hope it chases away your Covid blues, even if the chase is fleeting.

Attia Events shares with us more details on their brilliant shoot and all of the suppliers involved.

Look out for the intimate reception setting (the streamer bunting is amazing) and the portrait photography of the gorgeous Monica & David, whose energy have brought this shoot to life.

Enjoy party people!

Funky Fiesta…

As the weather became gloomy in Toronto, we thought a pop of colour was much needed. We’ve always been inspired by Mexican culture and it’s colourful aesthetics, so we decided to put our own spin on it, and combine it with our love for the outdoors.

We’re huge campers so we’re always on the lookout for unique outdoor sites. We ended up finding the perfect spot that had it all – a private campsite that had a treehouse, a wooden suspension bridge and gorgeous views of a small waterfall. We couldn’t believe this site existed only 2.5 hours away from Toronto.

We wanted to create Funky Fiesta for quirky and fun couples who like to think out of the box – couples who are adventurous, love colour and aren’t afraid to get silly. We connected with vendors who aren’t just incredibly talented, but also understood our vision and completely encompass it. All the people involved embodied incredible teamwork, creativity and positive energy! They truly made the day a success. For such a colourful theme, we also made sure to have a multicultural team. As an interracial, queer-owned business, we understand that representation and inclusivity is extremely important. We always try to partner with diverse vendors, and create community with other POC and minority groups.

For the decor, we decided to get crafty and DIY most of it ourselves. We then had to trek into the woods with all our gear and set everything up with limited resources.  It was tricky but we also discovered how much more creative we could be. This shoot helped us realize our potential, and our brand has definitely evolved since then.
We really put our heart and souls into planning this styled shoot and we’re proud to say that Funky Fiesta is a true representation of who we are at heart – full of love, fun & colour!
