Festival Wedding Ideas With A Moroccan Twist

Festival wedding vibes can be found on the blog today with a fun, rustic bohemian styled wedding shoot put together by the lovely people behind Vintage Camper Booths. With a huge passion for music festivals, they wanted to bring some joy to 2020 by organising a shoot with a festival wedding theme and featuring their awesome VW Campervans & Beetle. Naomi of Vintage Camper Booths explains…

We wanted to do a photo shoot to really showcase what our family of VDubs can offer to Brides & Grooms on their big day. Our VW Campervans & Beetle are so versatile and offer a range of unique experiences such as; Photo Booths, Glitter Bars, Sweetie & Cake Bars, Mobile Bars and Wedding Transport.
They look the part at any wedding but we do have a real soft spot for Festival Weddings as we are huge festival goers ourselves and we just think VW’s & Festivals are a match made in heaven. Glastonbury Festival holds a special place in our hearts.
Vintage Camperbooths

As well as featuring their amazing line up of VW vehicles, this shoot also features real couple Louise and Matt. They were forced to postpone their 2020 wedding due to the pandemic and, in an effort to bring them some joy after what has been a horrible heart breaking year, Naomi invited them to take part in the shoot. The day was organised and captured as if it was a real wedding with Louise and Matt being pampered from start to finish.

One of the things that we have loved seeing the most during this pandemic is the creative ways suppliers have rallied around their couples whose hearts have been completely broken by 2020. Despite facing financial pressure with lost bookings and postponements, we have seen so many suppliers go that extra mile to try and help lift the spirits of couples by providing free couple shoots, gifting them with boxes of treats on what would have been their wedding day or, in the case of some venues, inviting them to come and stay overnight on what would have been their wedding day. This shoot is another example of the incredible generosity the wedding industry has and, if gifting them with a shoot wasn’t already enough, Vintage Camper Booths are also providing them one of their vehicles for free at their wedding next year. Amazing.

Fun, Rustic & Boho…

We know the Bohemian vibe has been very on trend for a while and we wanted to create a Festival Wedding Shoot with a nod to all the boho rustic vibes with gorgeous colourful pampas creations from Flowers by Anya, and with the lovely additional styling from Carly at Roka Bella Rose Weddings, it added a slight Moroccan twist to it, which we LOVED. The colour palette was very much a blend of oranges, dusty pinks, beiges and gold.

We wanted to use a real couple for many reasons but one main wish of ours was to create a fun experience for a couple who had to postpone their wedding due to Covid 19 restrictions. We really struck gold with a gorgeous couple called Louise & Matt who had to move their wedding to next Spring. We loved working with them and it was a delight seeing how much fun they had too, which was captured beautifully by Vince at Yeti Photography and Film & Matt at Yeti Film. As a way of thanking them we are bringing one of our VW Campervan Photo Booths to their wedding next Spring in the evening as a gift

We wanted to create a real story with this Festival Wedding styled shoot. It started with the couple arriving in style in ‘Betsy’ our Clementine Orange 1970’s Beetle for their ‘Micro Wedding Ceremony’ with a lovely Celebrant called Carole, with the most beautiful backdrop of the rolling hills of Devon. They ate from a gorgeous grazing board full of delicious food and drank crisp champagne before cutting their wedding cake (thanks to Claire’s Sweet Temptations) followed by their first dance in front of the hay bales – so cute! They celebrated being ‘Mr & Mrs’ whilst sipping more bubbly from our VW Camper Bar and enjoyed some romantic sunset kisses overlooking the stunning Estuary.

As dusk fell the whole area was lit up beautifully with festoon and twinkly lights thanks to System Electrical Power. Our couple then spent the evening having fun trying on quirky props in the Campervan Photo Booth and even sprinkled themselves with Eco Glitter from the Glitter Bar at the back.

What a way to have a wedding hey!
