I have been so looking forward to sharing this gorgeous wedding inspiration shoot with you all. Sent all the way from Texas USA, it is inspired by Autumn, my favourite season, and is therefore full of the gorgeous nurturing colours you associate with this time of year. Add to that a small white chapel, a modern bohemian theme, the sweetest of couples and rich textured flowers, and you have the perfect shoot to warm your hearts this winter.

Fallin’ In Love is the first ever shoot organised by photographer Alana of Lana Del Mar Photography and I think it is safe to say she nailed it! Through this shoot, she aimed to inspire couples to move away from the country rustic style of weddings you see so much of in Texas, and instead explore a theme that is modern, sophisticated, bohemian and full of romance. Each element, from the gorgeously designed stationery by Festival Wedding Directory member Wonderland Invites (Jen we ADORE what you have designed here) to the rich tones of the flowers and the delicate flowers within the brides hair – it is all so beautiful. We love it!

Alana shares with us more details on Fallin’ In Love and the trends they were exploring.

Enjoy lovely people and make sure you visit us tomorrow for a Christmas inspired shoot that is oh so very good!!!!

Fallin’ In Love…

Words by Lana Del Mar Photography

A lovely team of Texas creatives pulled together this stunning Autumn-inspired elopement at the Emerson venue. As we are located in Texas, many weddings take on a rustic, country style here. We designed this shoot with a more modern, bohemian couple in mind and wanted to break from the traditional southern wedding style. The Emerson venue was truly the perfect fit for this shoot as the venue takes a modern twist on southern hospitality.

Florals were a big focus here. Holly, our florist, curated the perfect mixture of rich autumn colors and natural textures. Her creations filled with toffee roses, deep burgundy sunflowers, and bittersweet vine all stood out beautifully against the clean, white chapel at The Emerson.

Sharayah, our hair and makeup artist, highlighted Sydnie’s natural beauty by keeping her look soft and glowy. She placed small, dainty flowers leftover from Holly’s creations in Sydnie’s hair for a unique bohemian touch.

Our models and real life couple Sydnie and Dan were full of smiles and a playful, fun spirit. We hope this shoot not only showcased the beautiful creations of the vendors involved, but also the joy which can be found in creating a day that is true to you. While autumn and winter weddings can be quite chilly, the color palette and other elements involved in the shoot made for a warm, cozy wedding perfect for holiday seasons.
