Happy Sunday lovelies. I hope you are all having a good weekend despite the circumstances we find ourselves all in.

I have been struggling a little to be honest with you. Running a business whilst trying to home school is so hard and frustrating, and it has got the better of me this week. Whilst I totally understand this lockdown needs to be done and I want to stay at home for our NHS, it doesn’t make it any easier. The to do list for work is getting larger with each day and, as much as I accept I have to work in the evenings and weekends to keep from sinking, I am craving for a break and release! I am utterly exhausted and that exhaustion is making me tearful and less able to cope. It’s just a vicious cycle isn’t it?

If you are in the same situation as me then I feel you and empathise massively. Honestly, those bars and clubs don’t know what is going to hit them when us working parents are released!! We’re going to take them over!

One thing that is keeping me going though is the escapism the gorgeous features we share gives me daily, and today’s styled shoot is no exception. It is beautiful, romantic and inspiring – especially for couples who are thinking of a destination wedding by the sea.

Put together by Unique and Forever Events and captured by Michalis Kouvalis and Kimon Kaketsis, in the gorgeous Santorini (a destination that is firmly on my post Covid bucket list), Eye Candy Love tells the story of Olga and Thomas, and their beautiful clifftop elopement. It starts with a ceremony by the sea, followed by couple portraits on the rugged landscape of the coast and ends with an intimate bohemian picnic reception for two on a balcony overlooking the sea.

It is romantic, elegant, comes with gorgeous portrait photography and a two piece dress with just the right amount of netted theatre and movement to compliment the dramatic landscape and coastal skies. Couple this with decor in an earthy colour palette of beige, champagne, cream and terracotta and you have yourself elopement vibes that are full of bohemian romance.

The lovely Flora of Unique and Forever Events, shares with us all the details on Eye Candy Love and the suppliers who helped make it happen.

Enjoy.

Eye Candy Love…

A bohemian ceremony is described as earthy, inspired by nature and beautiful outdoors. Brides who choose this style are unconventional, modern and loving minded people. They have amazing personalities and are spirits of adventure and travel.

We on the other hand, when we style bohemian ceremonies we love the escaping, the driving all over Santorini to find that particular perfect spot for a boho ceremony, listening to music and dancing in the middle of nowhere once we have found this perfect spot!

For this nano ceremony we have carried a boho style bridal bouquet in a dreamy palette of beige, champagne, cream, terra, and greenery that included a lot of textures of dried flowers.  Even though pampa grass is a scene stealer, we have designed this flower arrangement with sun dried flowers.

I combined a large, king, orange rose with beige “toffee” roses, terra and soft creamy coloured pampas grass, peach, and a crystal white orchid. I have included palm leaves in two colors green and light brown.

I designed the bouquet to be large, linear, majestic and synonymous to boho weddings in Santorini island.

The dress was also on a beige palette, a traditional Cycladic embroidery with a gold thread handmade and a tulle skirt.

The gold triangle earrings and necklace were simple but gorgeous.

Nano ceremony took place at the utmost perfect villa with jaw dropping views in Santorini called Thermes Villa.

We have decided we did not wish for anything to hide this endless view, therefore, we have used pampas grass and toffee roses as an arch surrounding the ceremony area.

We have designed the private dinner table using an old solid wooden door (30 years old) to match the unconventional style of this bohemian nano ceremony.

The space was decorated with a beautiful handmade Persian red carpet, black and gold cutlery, candles, and red velvet cushions.

We styled our lighting with a hanging large see wood which we have carefully wrapped Edison lights, an unconventional touch, around this romantic setting.

Caldera views of Santorini and bohemian style nano ceremony ! unconventional eye candy love the perfect setting of our amazing couple.

The stunning work of photography was by Kouvalis and Kimon .
