Morning lovely people and happy hump day! We hope you are all having a great week so far.

We have a gorgeous Catholic meets woodland wedding to share with you all today, sent all the way from Italy by Loving Marche Wedding and captured so beautifully by Francesca Francesca.

Elena and Gian said I do at a beautiful Catholic church in their village, followed by a Celtic inspired ceremony with a Druid, and alfresco dining under twinkling fairy lights, in a beautiful woodland…

The main inspiration was to look for a venue with a woodland where we could celebrate a Celtic ritual with a “Druid.” We love medieval suggestions and we had Celtic music too. We didn’t love the villas or something not true and authentic – we love beauty, but nature too. We love true tastes of our land not too much aristocracy.

Elena & Gian

With a gorgeous romantic wedding dress, a woodland setting that dreams are made of, flowers and pampas in soft pastel hues of pink, decor in earthy colours and a beautiful alfresco dining setting, this wedding most certainly ticks alot of our boxes!

Elena and Gian share with us more details on their dreamy woodland wedding, the boho chic theme and the wonderful suppliers that helped make it happen.

Theatre Lovers….

We met during the rehearsals of a play we did together 10 years. We’re two actors working in theatre and Italian fiction production. There wasn’t a proper proposal but we decided together to get married.

Two Contrasting Ceremonies…

We had two ceremonies: one Catholic in the Church of our village and one symbolic in the wood that was “Celtic and medieval.” We had a priestess of the Celtic rite called Druid that used the typical passages of this rite that focuses on the respect of nature, recalling the 4 elements of nature and the love for all living beings. The music was made by a “duo” and was celtic with typical instruments and dresses.

In the church we had pampas and eucalyptus with a great front door decoration. In the wood we had a small ancient table with a circle made by stones. Then we finished with a long gallery made by the guest hands and the orange and white smoke bombs. We lit them with our wedding witnesses.

Sublime Photography…

The photographers were sublime! Nadia looked for them and we fell in love. Creative, light, delicate, concentrate and superb and very very friendly! Francesca Bianchelli and Francesca Tilio for Francesca Francesca.

Cozy, Ancient Woodland…

Nadia our wedding planner found our reception venue. The location has a beautiful cozy and ancient woodland and when we visited it, we literally fell in love with this place. It has a stunning “orangery” and a great garden in front of it.

If I had to describe our theme I would say gleeful and colourful. Gian says, ‘my wedding was a travel through dreams, desires and real life.‘ The theme was mainly boho chic and we had a colour scheme of warm tones from orange, to brown and light pink.

Evening Alfresco Dining Under Lights…

We had a big flat garden with many stripes of hanging bulbs that we decided to organise with Nadia’s suggestion. We had 6 long tables and a private one for the bride and groom with a wonderful terracotta runner!

Nadia made a table setting styling and she thought to use summer typical fruit “saturno” peaches on the napkin of each guest, and apricots along the tables near the flower decorations and candlesticks. We had a small green can of olive oil for each of our guests as wedding favours. These were produced by the location that hosted us.

Our flowers were by PAOLA of Flowery lab of Civitanova Marche. She collaborated with Nadia for some time and we loved her for ability, experience and empathy. She made a great work with anturium, dahlies and carnations from the colors kept but warm. She made a stunning bouquet for me, a dreaming wedding bouquet!

Favourite Moment…

Groom: When there was an accidental short blackout when all the lights turned off and it was possible to see the stars in the sky

Bride: When the Celtic ceremony was over and Gian Paolo and I walked on a path between all our friends lifting up their hands for us.

Any Advice?

We would tell them to try and make all their wishes come true because it’s a once in a lifetime experience. We suggest to choose a great wedding planner that can help to make your dreams true; we met Nadia in a bar six months before wedding and we were immediately in tune! It’s very important that your advisor has the same feelings and desires.
