Eco-friendly Woodland Wedding Inspiration

Inspired by the beautiful woodland of Evenley Wood Gardens, today’s outdoor wedding inspiration shoot comes with all of the natural vibes you would expect from a relaxed woodland wedding but with an added focus on sustainability which makes it that extra bit special. The suppliers involved, which includes the amazing Indiebride London who is a member of our Festival Wedding Directory, used twigs and branches, found on the woodland floor, as part of the ceremony and reception decor and focused on using foraged greenery as the main bulk of the flowers. Their aim was to create inspiration that worked in harmony with the woodland and celebrated the natural beauty it already had to offer…

We had a vision of an eco-friendly whimsical and laid back weddings where you can walk bare feet trough the long grass, forget about rehearsals, sing and dance under a canopy of trees with your family and friends, gather around a fire in the evening to say those precious words and raise a glass, then stargaze until early hours in the morning on your first wedding night.
A beautiful woodland venue can offer so much for couples who enjoy the outdoors and looking for a sustainable way to celebrate their special day.

Woodland Wedding Vibes…

A dreamy woodland photoshoot idea was born when we first visited Evenley wood garden a couple of years ago. Located on the outskirts of Brackley in Northamptonshire, Evenley is a 60 arce established woodland garden, and a labour of love to Tim Whiteley and his family who purchased the woods in 1980. The woodland looks stunning all year round. You can fill your lungs with the fragrant forest air, listen to bird songs and feel connected with the nature.

We had a vision of an eco-friendly whimsical and laid back weddings where you can walk bare feet trough the long grass, forget about rehearsals, sing and dance under a canopy of trees with your family and friends, gather around a fire in the evening to say those precious words and raise a glass, then stargaze until early hours in the morning on your first wedding night. We suggested wooden banquet tables with under flowering Magnolia, candlelight and florals that mimic the surroundings. We added a swing for little bit of fun in woodlands and dipped toes in a shallow stream that runs through Evenley. A beautiful woodland venue can offer so much for couples who enjoy the outdoors and looking for a sustainable way to celebrate their special day.
