Earthy Outdoor Bohemian Wedding Inspiration

Happy Monday Lovely People and Happy International Women’s Day!

We have a beautiful bohemian styled shoot to share with you all today, captured by Sarah Brookes Photography at brand new outdoor tipi wedding venue Parkgate Farm Weddings in Cheshire. It comes with gorgeous autumnal wedding vibes, sustainable flowers and stationery, an earthy and delicate decor theme, elegant rustic bridal styling (her hair, dresses and makeup is a dream), decor that is making our outdoor wedding hearts sing and a groom looking oh so dapper in a tailored tweed chequered brown jacket with a subtle hint of blue.

We love the ceremony area with it’s delicate dried flowers, artistic flower arch and blue patterned rugs. This whole set up exudes rustic romance and looks perfect against the woodland backdrop. We also adore the intimate reception setting with it’s hand pressed flower name placements, gold cutlery, handmade wooden vases, real plant wedding favours and the amazing blush wedding cake.

Creativity & Love…

The shoot is all about telling the story of how couples can have their dream wedding at Parkgate. We are telling the story of creativity and love. We hope you love the delicate dried flowers and artistic flower arch as well as the cozy dusk campfire and ombré festoon backdrops to inspire Festival Brides creative couples!

The Venue…

Parkgate Farm Tipi Weddings started as a dream and has been created over the last 5 years. It is a family venture and is set on a gorgeous 15 acre farm in Cheshire. The venue is unique in the fact that couples can have a legal woodland ceremony under the beautiful licensed Bower, which is situated in a magnificent open glen surrounded by an amphitheater of oak trees, then party the night away under the gorgeous tipis. This brings together both a woodland ceremony with a tipi reception all set on the beautiful farm with far reaching views over the Cheshire Plain.

Roy Bennett, the venue owner, has poured his heart and soul into building and hand crafting everything, from the bar to the stone walling. Roy’s partner Emma is the wedding coordinator and ensures communication between the couples to make sure everything is planned and runs super smoothly! Together they make a super dream team!

The Theme…

The theme of this inspiration shoot was delicate and earthy, and each of the suppliers provided stunning additions to the shoot. It was a joy to photograph! Real couple, Carly and Daley, have just bought their first home and amongst the busyness of home renovations and working, they loved the opportunity to spend the day in each other’s arms, chatting and laughing. This shoot is all about showing off the venues ‘anything Is possible’ mantra. Guests can enjoy a wedding breakfast outdoors or have a cozy meal inside the tipi.

The Flowers…

The brief of the mood board we were given was Earthy, Delicate and Cosy so instantly we thought of grasses with it being an outside venue, followed by lots of seasonal foliage and then neutral warm tones of pinks to add to the cosiness. The flower selection included dahlias, chrysanthemum, astrantia, stocks, spray roses, wax flower and hydrangea.

All of the work that we produced was created using sustainable floral mechanics.

The Styling…

When the lovely Sarah asked me to be a part of a delicate and earthy styled shoot, I was super excited. I had lots of ideas bouncing around my head and seriously had to tone it down and pull everything together! I knew that I wanted to subtly incorporate a warm burnt orange along with rich wood pieces, golds and delicate florals, which Ashleigh from Vintage Rose Crafts smashed!

The table scape had soft linen textures in the napkins and table runner. The napkins were hand dyed with avocado pips to incorporate the natural and rustic feel of the shoot. I put lots of ceramic bud vases, handmade wooden vases from the talented Something From The Turnery and gold candle sticks with tapered black candles on the rustic wooden tables. We added vintage glasses, wooden plates, our mismatched chairs and signage by us to complete the look!

Made By Rae Designs provided us with a beautiful collection of illustrative watercolour stationery. It complimented the day beautifully and brought all of the elements together — boho, pampas, neutrals and greenery with a touch of blush pink which she added just for us. Rae is proud to run an eco-friendly business and produces everything from her studio in Worcestershire. She only ever uses sustainable FSC approved papers to create her collections which are 100% recyclable, acid-free and uncoated.

The Flowers…

Ashleigh and sister Danielle from Vintage Rose Crafts specialise in dried flowers which I have always had a love for!! I started this venture back in July 2020 so when Sarah asked me to be a part the shoot I was completely honoured! It couldn’t have been a better fit as my style is very much delicate and Earthy! I put together the brides bouquet, grooms button hole and three table arrangements which all consisted of Pampas, natural grasses, peony’s, hydrangeas and delicate roses! I wanted to show that with Vintage Rose we can truly adapt to any theme to make your day special!

The Makeup…

For the makeup I wanted to keep it really soft and elegant. I focused on creating a healthy glowing complexion. I used earthy tones to compliment the setting and the overall theme.

The Hair…

For the hair styling I wanted to create a look that complimented and enhanced the dried flower hair piece by Folkey Dokey which was the main focus. The final look was soft and effortless with a rustic and relaxed feel. I chose textured mock plait with a ruffled effect for depth and texture which perfectly set off the hair piece.
