Surprise Marriage Proposal For Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day lovely people!!!! We hope you are all having a gorgeous day with your loved ones.

We very rarely share features at the weekend but we couldn’t let the day of love go by without marking it in someway and we have an absolute treat of a proposal story to share with you all today!

Put together with the help of wedding planner and stylist Dreams of Princesses, and captured so beautifully by David Fernandez, Country Love tells the story of David Feito and his incredibly romantic surprise proposal to his gorgeous girlfriend, and now fiancé, Daria. If their story doesn’t warm your locked down hearts today, then I don’t know what will!

David is a singer and songwriter and told Daria that the shoot had been organised as part of his new music video. Blissfully unaware that the whole set up was for her, Daria soaked up the romantic ambience of the location and setup and, throughout the shoot, often found herself daydreaming about her own wedding and what it would be like! She says…

“When we were getting to the table area, with that tunnel of lights (which I have never seen anything so romantic in my life), something started hovering in the pit of my stomach, I thought, “I hope one day I will do this for my wedding,” and unbeknown to me he was about to propose!”

David led Daria to a gorgeous intimate table for two under a canopy of fairy lights, right on the waters edge, and, when the moment felt right, proposed! This incredibly gorgeous moment was captured right on camera and we have it all to share with you today.

The story of this beautiful marriage proposal is very special, and of course romantic. And in these times I think that romanticism is something that we must always keep in mind. The illusion and the desire to celebrate and surprise our partner, now that everything is so strange, helps us to not lose the desire to carry this new era in the best possible way.

That’s why when David contacted us to surprise Daria, it seemed that he was the one to ask for marriage.

David is a professional musician, songwriter, and Daria is an actress. I think this story is a nice reflection that it doesn’t matter where or how, because the most important thing is to be together. It doesn’t matter the language, the distance or where we live, the important thing is to want to create our own home wherever we are together.

David called us asking how he could surprise Daria, and that without her waiting we could do a photo session of one of the most special days they were going to have together before the wedding.

They are both used to photos, their professional careers make them spend a lot of time in front of the cameras, so that was not going to be a problem, but we needed an excuse so that Daria would not find it strange that the photos were taken of her.

“I came up with the idea to tell her if she wanted to be the star of my new video clip”, said David. “Normally we don’t want to mix work and our lives, but it seemed like a good way to make her participate, and that until the end she didn’t understand that we were in the recording of the video clip of my last song “

Daria says, “when David said it made me very excited, what better than to go out with him in a video and spend some time together, also he had not told me anything about the process this time, and I did not know what they were setting up.”

We are looking for a place as private as possible, easily adaptable to all Covid security measures, which we must keep in Spain, we also wanted its environment to be perfectly with the personality of the couple.

A reservoir, in a secluded area, where they could enjoy the moment without any problem. Alone, at sunset, next to the noise of the water hitting the jetty and the reflection of the candlelight. David says, “the truth is that when we got there and saw everything that was mounted, we were both surprised, after all, neither of us really knew what we were going to find.”

For all intents and purposes the team is preparing the recording of a video clip so we made David sing his song and both of them act freely. A stage on the jetty surrounded by candles and flowers, next to his guitar, it was impossible to go wrong. They were very comfortable and it was very easy for David Fernández to capture these magnificent images.

“Daria always told me that when we were going to get married, we both wanted to celebrate our wedding and be able to bring all our friends. The problem is that many of them, the vast majority, are outside Asturias, even Spain, so it is very difficult for us to think about getting married without them. We see them little, and that day, our wedding day, we want to enjoy it with them. So we decided that we would delay it until 2022 or 2023. I just wanted to show her that I love her, and that despite everything she can experience in her shootings, or I in my recordings, the truth is, true love is always better than fiction, but above all, don’t lose your desire or illusion for our wedding.” – David.

When asked about his ideas on how to propose, David said, “I had thought about putting it in her champagne glass, but I was afraid that she would
swallow it and not see it. I had it in my jacket pocket since morning, I did not remove it all day for fear of losing the ring. In the end everything went well. I let my instinct do what it saw fit, her heart gave the order and the hand took out the ring … in the end it was simple. And above all, seeing
her face was her surprise and how she began to look everywhere and understand that this was her surprise, that was perfect.”

“I never thought a proposal like this would happen to me. In the movies, in the magazines or when you see similar things on social networks, you always dream of something similar, but it is a dream, a utopia… that is what I thought until I saw that beautiful and perfect red box. I almost fainted. I don’t even know how I could react, I only know that I understood that that, moment, was only for us. It was perfect”. – Daria
