Oh Ladies, do we have a treat for your bridal eyes on this cold wintry Friday afternoon!

Those of you who know us well will know that we are huge fans of bohemian bridal label Daughters of Simone and have been for many years. Their wedding dress collections are renowned in the bridal industry for pushing boundaries and their new collection, Come Hell or High Water, is no exception.

Inspired by American painter Georgia O’Keeffe, this adventurous collection embraces the strong, the powerful, the expressive, the independent and the free spirited woman. It is a collection that stays true to the romantic, carefree and youthful bohemian roots of Daughters of Simone (this is especially evident in the gorgeous Kathryn) but with an added element of sophistication and high end fashion.

We love the tied cropped tops of Blanca and Joaquin, illustrating perfectly how DOS are not scared to push the boundaries of bridal fashion. We also adore the use of a neck scarf in Billie and Mick and the romantic and feminine vibe of the off the shoulder Lennon.

There is alot to be said about all of the dresses in this collection so without further ado, allow us to introduce you to Come Hell or High Water, the new 2020 Bridal collection from Daughters of Simone…

The Strong, The Adventurous, The Artistic Woman…

During the years of 1934-1986, American painter Georgia O’Keeffe laid her stake in New Mexico. Her best work was created there, living in solitude, climbing the white rocks and traveling around in her ford model ‘a’ car. We delighted in the image of this solo woman, buying her own home, teaching herself how to drive and spending her days exploring the desert, examining animal bones and interacting with the native communities. Having been raised by all women, it’s no wonder that every photograph taken of her shows a strong, unwavering silhouette. These years and her time spent there is the spirit and drive of this year’s collection.

“Such a beautiful, untouched, lonely feeling place, such a fine part of what I call the ‘Faraway’. It is a place I have painted before … even now I must do it again.”
