Beach wedding ideas are making their way to you tonight with a styled wedding shoot that channels dreamy whimsical, carefree bridal style and elegant, relaxed decor vibes. It is free-spirited, wild and comes with simple yet effective ways of incorporating ideas that are inspired by marine life and coastal landscapes.
Captured on a wild beach in Southern Romania, Coastal Romance was put together and styled by Moon Events who wanted to capture the wild beauty of their local beaches, as well as explore the intimate elopement wedding trend that has gained in popularity massively due to Covid-19. Irina of Moon Events says…
Beach weddings come with one of the most romantic sceneries ever. They are my absolute favorite to plan because they come with great styling versatility. Be it relaxed or more elegant, or maybe full of lighting installations or abounding in marine decoration elements, beach events are a total pleasure for both couple and guests, setting the mood for a memorable party. For this styled shoot, I was inspired by the wild beaches of Southern Romania, where I live. More and more couples are opting for elopements or intimate weddings and remote beaches seem to be perfect, offering privacy and unforgettable wedding memories.
Love.
Look out for the gorgeous delicate wedding dress from Nicole Enea, the shell plates (which we LOVE), the elegant cake, the thistle and rose bouquet and the stunning sunkissed images captured during golden hour.
Irina tell us more about this oh so very pretty beach wedding shoot.
The Beach…
When I first arrived on the beach, the scenery made me think of a wild bride, with whimsical vibes, carefree, relaxed yet elegant and delicate.
The light tone of the sand was strongly contrasted by lots of green and orange-coral shades, reminding me of the seaweed and the beautiful marine creatures. It was mesmerising!
Therefore when it came to the moodboard and all the styling details, I decided to start from that scenery and bring some extra touches that would complement it.
Table Setup & Decorations…
Instead of opting for a table with chairs, wooden platforms and pillows seemed more natural and fitting and brought beautiful boho vibes to the setup. A coral silky translucent cloth covered the wooden surface, completed by soft sea-life shades of turquoise, blush punk, blue and white.
Talking about lovely colours, the gorgeous hand paper stationery suite was one of my faves! Among all its elements, the different-coloured menus stole the show with their little vellum place cards attached through delicate silk ribbons. Oh and those ceramics! The lovely plates with hand-drawn marine elements had matching cups, a custom line produced especially for the shoot. Both playful and elegant, brought a distinguished vibe to the table.
Various sea-life decorations such as oversized shells, sea urchins, corals and starfish were mixed into the styling, along with white candles and a stunning floral design that matched the scene perfectly with its wild, entangled display, bringing to mind the abundant marine life of coral reefs.
Bridal Style…
Soft and simple, the white silk dress had delicate lace embellishments on the sleeves and a V-neck line complemented by a thigh slit, all conjuring the idea of a romantic, relaxed barefoot bride. The natural, pink shade make-up was combined with soft waved hair, partially pulled-up with a white silk scrunchie. The look of the bride was completed by the perfect beach wedding bouquet – small, organic, in a rather neutral palette of white, beige and light shades of green and blue.
The entire mood of the shoot was graced by the dreamy sunset which poured over the warm, golden light. It only enhanced the whimsical setup and the lulling mood of the bride. She seemed to let herself be, lived every moment, showed pure emotions and danced barefoot on the beach.
I hope all future brides feel inspired by this shoot and I encourage each and every one to be herself, to express her personality through her choices, to be a bit out of the box and to enjoy her special day no matter what!
