Oozing city-chic sophistication, we have something a little bit different to share with your eyes on this cold Saturday afternoon. A styled micro-wedding shoot that is full of elegance, modern-luxe bridal and groom attire and stylised narrative photography that evokes feelings of romance, passion, strength, unity and drama – all captured in a super sleek and quirky venue in central London called the Oasis.
Described as an urban jungle, The Oasis offers a refreshing and inspiring break from the outdoor wedding inspiration we usually share on Festival Brides. If you are considering postponing your main wedding due to Covid-19, but would still like to hold a small intimate ceremony and reception for two, then this shoot is for you. We love that it explores the idea of hiring a unique apartment space as your wedding venue – a place where you can relax for the entirety of your micro-wedding whilst capturing some awesome couple portraits in the process. It is a brilliant example of how any space can be used for your wedding. You don’t have to be limited by booking an official wedding venue – it’s your wedding day so go with what feels right for you.
Put together by Rita Colson Bridal and Wolf and Co. Photography, and featuring the stunning real life couple Hamza and Natalie, Cloud 9 has us dreaming of unique artistic wedding spaces, romantic getaways, atmospheric photography and bridal and groom vibes that are channeling the swinging 60s!
Enjoy lovely people and we hope you have a lovely weekend.
Cloud 9…
Words by Rita Colson
Downsizing your wedding is a chance to get creative. You’ve seen weddings in Stately homes, Registries, Garden weddings, but have you ever come across an Oasis Jungle right in the heart of central London?
Situated in Vauxhall this Air BNB flat is like walking into a very chic, lifestyle magazine. The living room is the main feature in this micro wedding shoot. Surrounded by a forest of lush plants with a backdrop of green and unusual cloud wall. The 1960s inspired plastic white chairs gives this room a modern yet vintage aesthetic.
Real life couple Hamza and Natalie have been married for 4 years and are both actors. Natalie’s look is a short A-line dress in silk crepe with accents of embroidery, puffed organza sleeves, long veil teamed with a pair of blocked heels and a sprinkle of 1960s sophistication.
‘Nothing says swinging 60s like a mini A- line dress.’
Designed with the modern bride in mind this look will have many lives after the wedding. It’s the perfect LWD (Little White Dress.)
Hamza compliments with a Bordeaux velvet suit in a relaxed Austin Power-esque vibe. The buttoned up shirt is dressed down with white trainers to complete the look.
Height, Volume & Waves…

I wanted to keep the hair and make up modern but with a sixties edge to reflect the dress design. I added height and volume at the crown with tousled waves in the hair and the look was completed with glowing skin and a feline flick liner.
