It’s Friday!!!!!!! Whoop whoop! I am so looking forward to this weekend. We have friends coming to see us and it will be the first time we’ve seen them since the pandemic hit the shores of Blighty. Just can’t wait to catch up in person, have a drink in the sunshine (hopefully) and just chill in the way we used too before things got oh so very heavy.

Before we sign off for the weekend we have a gorgeous couple shoot to share with you all. Captured in the Dragoon Mountains in Arizona by the lovely Jasmin Jade Photography, this classy bohemian couple shoot features the gorgeous Asura and Ivo. A real couple from Angola, Africa who are both on the same scholarship program in Tuscon. After seeing them on Instagram, Jasmin asked if they would take part in a couple shoot with her to encourage more couples to marry in the stunning desert landscape of Dragoon. The result – gorgeous images that radiate so much warmth both from the love between Asura and Ivo, the stunning earthy tones of the landscape and that beautiful golden glow from the early evening sun.

Enjoy lovely people and have a fab weekend.

Love In The Desert…

Words by Jasmin Jade

I have seen Asura and Ivo on Instagram because they have modeled for some photographers in the area before so I asked them to model for me. They are both from Angola, Africa but live here in Tucson and are on the same scholarship program. They are a real couple and met two years ago here in Tucson. Later they found out that they were neighbors in their little town in Angola! If you wonder, what language is spoken in Angola? Portuguese!

I thought she would look wonderful in this amazing dress. I was going for the edgy but a bit classy look. My inspiration for this theme was the desert landscape. I found this amazing location in Dragoon, Arizona. It’s the Triangle T Ranch. They host lots of weddings there.

I styled, planned and photographed this whole set by myself. The dress and robe is from BHLDN. Since I live in the desert, I could not find a floral designer in the area, and no floral designer that would ship. So I ordered a bouquet from Farm Girl Flowers. Ivo put together his outfit with my recommendations.

I feel this location will inspire many more to get married in the desert. The desert is an amazing backdrop for photos!
