Minimalist Elopement Wedding Inspiration

Afternoon lovely people and welcome to another week of gorgeous wedding inspiration on Festival Brides. We hope you all had a great weekend and lockdown part 2 is treating you well so far.

We have a lovely shoot to share with you today, put together and captured by Sam Sparks Photography and featuring minimalist bridal and décor setting in the beautiful countryside location of Saddleworth.

We love the idea of couples eloping to remote countryside locations to get married. It is a trend that has been elevated in 2020 due to the pandemic, with many couples choosing an elopement style wedding in order to still get married. This shoot embraces that wedding trend, as well as channeling the idea of escapism as a wedding theme – focusing on just the two of you in a relaxed and beautiful setting. Sam explains…

We wanted to plan a really simple, minimalist shoot when we came out of lockdown. Once we had pulled together a very small team of creatives, we found a beautiful model and headed to the hills. Saddleworth was an easy choice because of location, it’s beautiful scenery, a mix of old industrial buildings, the canal and also the moors. Using terracotta, cream, orange, and dusky pink shades throughout, Jen made a beautiful two person table in the middle of the moor side overlooking the reservoir. It helped to give the idea behind having an elopement, taking yourself and your partner into the countryside and making a beautiful setting for the two of you.
