Elegant Bohemian Beach Wedding in Cyprus

We have a gorgeous beach wedding to share with your eyes today. A wedding that is full of chic bohemian vibes, a stunning crystal embroidered bespoke wedding dress, a cooling colour palette of blue, gold and white, a dreamy alfresco reception set up and plenty of DIY elements to inspire you.

Sam and Sara have always dreamed of a small intimate beach wedding where they can party as the sun sets with their closest friends and family. Their theme was classy, elegant and boho with a hint of magic which could be found in their use of lighting, sparklers and smoke bombs…

Having an artistic and creative side myself, I didn’t want my wedding to be similar or like any other wedding! It had to be elegant, chic, colourful, fun, crazy, young and original! It had to reflect our personalities and be like no others!

A Dream Dress…

My dress was by Bernard Jabbour Couture and was a custom made design. We got inspired by the theme Fairy tale Beach Wedding, but in the same time Bernard sees me in a royal wedding dress and he wanted to mix both sides of my personality and the wedding theme. The dress is a mermaid simple dress with an extra skirt which added to the royal feel and made all the more beautiful by embroidery, sequins and Swarovski stones. The transparency in some parts and crystal embroidery made it look royal yet flawless, and made me feel like a princess and a mermaid. I can say: dream dress made true.

A Destination Beach Wedding…

We’ve always dreamed about a Destination Beach wedding, a ceremony in a small church and a nice reception during sunset on the Beach. We started doing research online for venues in Cyprus, we checked Ayia Napa, Protaras, Limassol and Paphos…

We were searching for a private venue on the Beach, away from hotels and public beaches, with a nice landscape that has a distinguishing mark, “cachet”.

We found Cap St. Georges’ Olive tree venue pictures online and we fell in love with it. We directly imagined how the set up would be so we contacted them, shared our references pictures and the coordination started. We were so happy to meet Samantha, the Wedding coordinator at the venue, so professional and helpful!

She helped us find St. Georgios Church in Peyia! An old chapel from the 13^th century near the Beach and 5min away from Cap St. Georges resort!

Samantha was like the Genie coming out of the bottle! She helped us make all our wishes come true and executed all the ideas we had! Our wedding reception was the first reception to be held at the olive tree venue where they usually had only ceremonies.

The old Chapel icons were so beautiful that we didn’t need any additional decoration for the ceremony. We wanted a traditional orthodox ceremony, so we only added some props like small DIY customised bags with rice and roses for the guests to throw at us at the end.

A Very Talented Photographer…

The Amazing and talented Karina Lenenko was our photographer. She captured every single moment of the wedding in a spontaneous artistic way! Her work is very personal, true and real that everytime we look at the pictures, we revive the most beautiful day of our life.

A Classy, Elegant & Boho Theme…

We created and customized the reception set up and décor as we imagined it. Classy, elegant, boho and magical using a blue, white and gold colour palette inspired by the Beach.

Some of the décor elements were DIY, like the name place cards, the table seating board, the polaroid Guestbook corner…

We mixed and matched all elements from tables, chairs, plates, cutlery, runner, vases and decoration to match our theme. Andrea From Enchanted Flower lounge did a great job. She literally translated our dream into reality!

We placed rectangular wooden tables and bistro chairs around the dance floor, we lit up the atmosphere with string lights which added the magical fairy tale mood along with the candles. The floor plan was executed in a way that all guest were sitting closely around the dance floor but at the same time could enjoy the sea view and sunset.

The Tables were dressed out with the breathtaking floral arrangements. We used eucalyptus runners and added white flowers with a touch of blue in golden vases.

Breathtaking Flowers…

Andrea from Enchanted Flower Lounge did our flowers. When we first met her, we knew she was the right person to work with. We got along very well, she understood what we wanted and took into consideration our reference pictures, theme, colours, our ideal set up and our budget! The decoration was breathtaking!

A Crazy Fun Ambiance…

Although the fairy tale set up of the reception, the ambiance was crazy fun!

It started with a welcome drink by the pool at Cap St. Georges Resort, with Sparkling wine with a selection of delicious canapes. Lia the violinist was entertaining our guests while we were having our photoshoot on the amazing beach. We also had a Polaroid Guestbook Station!

Bride and Groom Entrance was electric colourful and rocked on the beats of “Let’s get it Started – by Black eyed peas”. We entered the venue along with our friends holding the coloured smoke. Love and happiness couldn’t be pictured in a better way!

Following was the Father daughter dance to the “Fathers and Daughters” song. A very emotional and touching moment.

Lia the violinist came back at sunset and lightened up the mood with her amazing violin playing. The guests were enjoying the delicious tasteful buffet!

Then, first dance and we kicked off the party!

We used sparkles during the cutting of the cake and it was as magical as “ A sky full of stars”!

Favourite Moment…

We cannot choose one moment as the full wedding was so overwhelming full of fun crazy emotional touching moments!

Any Advice?

Be creative and do the wedding that resembles you! With the right team and professionals your dream can become a reality!

Sam and I dreamed of a beach wedding, crazy fun partying yet classy and chic! I imagined all the set up and mood and started doing some research of pictures as reference, then started looking for venues, suppliers, photographers, florist that would help me achieve my ideal dream wedding! Doing all that research online from Lebanon wasn’t easy!

I shared my ideas, plans, reference pictures and we started coordinating and preparing everything together via mail.

I traveled a few days before the wedding to manage all the final details with the team. The Wedding turned out to be more than perfect, just like what we wanted. Everything was perfection!

Thanks to the support of my family, bridesmaid and professional team who made the best of it!

Our guests joined us one day prior to the wedding, we enjoyed the full weekend with their company. Laughs, memories and stories to tell…

We couldn’t thank all of our family and friends enough. Our dearest guests that made this day the most beautiful day of our life!
