Charlotte of Starchar Ltd, the talented curator and stylist behind this shoot, says…

My vision was to create an eco-friendly, wildly adventurous wedding entirely inspired and embraced by nature. The key focus for styling was to be sustainable and eco-friendly whilst celebrating nature and the change of seasons. Adorned with earthy tones, rich hues and accents of copper, the flowers and décor were inspired by the warm tones and the low light of the autumnal season.

Look out for the leaf name placements featured in both the outdoor and indoor table settings (we adore these), the sustainable elements explained in the write up, the extra special guests (you’ll know what I mean when you see them) and the gorgeous golden hour photos which offers fantastic couple shot inspiration.

Nestled in the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, sits The Green Escape. A remote and intimate eco venue of 6 acres with shepherd hut accommodation for up to 22 guests.

Topped by mesmerising tree canopies, this unique location with indoor and outdoor premises provides budget friendly packages for wildly hearted couples seeking a remote woodland wedding.

There isn’t many wedding venues where you can zip line between trees, relax in hammocks listening to the sounds of the forest, or party until the sun rises with a silent disco – the ultimate wilderness wedding!

Inspiration and Styling…

The flowers were naturally arranged using fresh and dried stems all finely selected, home-grown or locally sourced. The stationery was created using sustainable materials and key props recycled and up-cycled.

It was important this shoot showcased the advantages of shopping small and local, whilst eliminating one-time uses and achieving a reduced carbon footprint.

The bride’s style was created for fun glamour, April wore a hand embellished A-line ceremonial dress featuring gorgeous lantern sleeves and a second sleek and sexy gown with tassel neckline for an evening look. Later in the day the dresses were paired with an embroidered leather tassel jacket for late night dancing under fairy lights.

The bride’s hair was naturally styled and loosely pinned, finished with delicate hair combs crafted with natural materials of porcelain clay, pearls and gold leaf. Hair accessories were coordinated with the brides bracelet and threader earrings in rose gold to match the couple’s rings.
