Now there is no denying that wedding tipis remain as being one of the most popular structures to have for an outdoor wedding. Especially for those couples looking to recreate a festival vibe. There is just something about them that screams the ‘wow factor’ and they have this brilliant ability to look awesome no matter where they are pitched!

Like most things, you have to see them in person to really understand what the fuss is all about which is why many tipi suppliers hold open days. It’s a chance for them to really showcase what their tipis can do and offers couples a great opportunity to witness first hand why they are so versatile and offer an awe inspiring space for a wedding.

Back in September, World Inspired Tents held their Autumn Open Wedding in Bristol and created a beautiful decor styled shoot, inspired by the four seasons of the year, which we have to share with you all today. Its a great example of how wedding tipis will look at a different times of the year, whether its the height of summer of in the midst of winter.

Four Seasons in One Day….

Open days are a fantastic way to look around a potential venue for your big day, explore the grounds, nose about the interiors, soak up the atmosphere and hopefully connect with a space that you want to celebrate your special day at. What if you’re looking for something a little different for your celebration, something that you can really put your stamp on, design the layout to your requirements and decorate in a way that totally reflects the two of you?

Hiring a tipi for your celebration is a striking and contemporary alternative to a marquee and can often be used within the grounds of a venue meaning you have the best of both worlds for you and your guests. World Inspired Tents has been helping couples create amazing and memorable weddings for over 11 years, accommodating guest numbers from 50 to a 1000! Their open weekends are the perfect opportunity to see the tipi structures up, in different combinations of tents (or hats as they are called in the industry!) as well as the various furnishing options and possibilities of decorating them.

A Beautiful Backdrop….

World Inspired Tents held their Autumn open weekend last September in the grounds of the beautiful Backwell House, a 9 bedroom luxury country manor house nestled within the Somerset countryside (and only 20 minutes outside of Bristol.) With ceremonies possible on the front steps of Backwell House, the tipis provide a beautiful backdrop as well as space for your celebrations after the ‘I do’s. It was their first open weekend in Bristol and an opportunity to showcase their amazing Nordic tipis. World Inspired Tents brought together a creative team of wedding suppliers to transform the interior of the tipis, giving couples the chance to really get a feel for a tipi celebration and to chat to their team about their requirements for their big day.

Styling For All Seasons….

Tipis are perfect for any time of the year so the styling for the open weekend saw one half of the main tipi full of Autumunal & Wintery inspiration with opulent warm colours, firepits (with marshmallows too!) long wooden tables & benches. The other half was styled for Spring and Summer celebrations bursting with fresh and bright colours, fruits, colourful stationery and hanging floral installations above traditional round tables. The open weekend was an opportunity for our recommended suppliers to come together to create different looks providing inspiration for the couples looking around. Hiring different props can also add lots of fun details to a celebration like the barrel for a cake table, ribbon bunting to add colour to the entrance and the lemonade stand as a great addition to a drinks reception. There are so many possibilities to really add your personality to the celebration and the team at World Inspired Tents are there to help at every step.

Huge thanks to Rebecca Faith photography for capturing the weekend and the following suppliers that transformed the tipis inside and out!
