Morning Lovely People and Happy Hump Day. I hope you are all having a good week.

We have a beautiful treat for your eyes today in the form of a bohemian luxe shoot put together by the fabulous team at Hire Love UK. Not only is it full of the most gorgeous winter wedding inspiration and bridal style (the dresses are amazing – AMAZING) but it is also sporting an incredible line up of wedding suppliers, most of which are based in the South of England. Get your note pad out guys because these suppliers are worth noting down.

Inspired by nature, Hire Love wanted to create a winter wedding shoot that veered away from the festive wedding vibes that we often see at this time of year and focus instead on a more simple, ethereal and timeless style….

Our styled shoot was inspired by nature. We aimed to create a timeless look for winter weddings that wasn’t too festive and free of the traditional colours and sparkle.

Simple, ethereal, beautiful winter whites, juxtaposed with dark wooden reclaimed furniture, a pared back palette, with foraged hedgerow, dried grasses, and the added luxury of white linens and gold accessories.

There are many things we love about this shoot from the twig like orange tones of the flowers to the beautiful styling of the tablescape with those amazing hanging feather pom poms. But the hero for us in this shoot has to be the styling of the gorgeous bride. We are in love with every dress that is used and the way they have been showcased through the styling by Hire Love and the beautiful photography by Matilda Delves. We especially love the beaded Needle and Thread gown which adds just the right amount of sparkle to this beautifully put together winter luxe shoot. We need this dress in our wardrobe!

Rachael of Hire Love talks us through the shoot, the concept and styling and all of the amazing suppliers involved….

Winter Whites….

Words by Hire Love UK

Our styled shoot was inspired by nature. We aimed to create a timeless look for winter weddings that wasn’t too festive and free of the traditional colours and sparkle.

Simple, ethereal, beautiful winter whites, juxtaposed with dark wooden reclaimed furniture, a pared back palette, with foraged hedgerow, dried grasses, and the added luxury of white linens and gold accessories.

We had excellent luck with the dresses. Story of My Dress Bridal boutique in Malling supplied three lovely outfits, a late 60’s floor length gown with a high neck and billowing sleeves and skirt by an unknown Californian designer, a simple two piece and a lovely calf length handmade gown with a scoop neck. We were lucky enough to also get a couple of beaded dresses by Needle and Thread London, courtesy of Courage and Dash Collective who we’d worked with on a previous photo shoot.

This eco friendly vibe evolved over time, as we realised that nearly everything we had use was recycled, reclaimed or reused, it wasn’t a huge factor in the planning of the shoot, but felt good afterwards.

The Cherry Barn was the perfect venue for this shoot, hidden away in East Sussex, it is a complete get-away, and a place to be at one with nature. That aside, it is blooming amazing, think of rustic barn meets Rockett St George. Quirky, cool, no back to back weddings and owned and designed by the owners; lovely Mel & Steve.

The supplier list on this shoot was immense! Mainly as it evolved from a simple tablescape shoot to so much more!  I felt my brain my explode but, fortunately we are a great team, we had a blast.
