If you are inspired by all things celestial then my goodness are you going to love today’s bridal editorial. I know that I certainly do! Every element has been put together so beautifully and the suppliers featured will make your bridal heart sing. I am talking about the likes of E&W Couture, Tilly Thomas Lux, Carrie Elizabeth Jewellery, Rock n Roll Bride x Crown and Glory, Rolling in Roses and Love Hair & Co. to name but a few.
Put together by the incredibly talented team behind Rock N Roll Bride Magazine, this fashion forward shoot, inspired by all things celestial, was about focusing on the bride and the bride alone. What she can wear, how her hair will look, her accessories, her makeup and how to bring all of these elements together. It is also a shoot that wants to push the boundaries when it comes to bridal fashion. To take risks and explore new trends that often go unseen and to create a platform that celebrates alternative design led suppliers….
When it comes to fashion, and what a bride might want to wear, there is SO MUCH amazing, fashion forward bridalwear that isn’t ever seen – either it’s too edgy for lots of real brides to choose, or people aren’t using it for their shoots. We want to change that. With Rock n Roll Bride magazine, we are always trying to push the envelope and plan shoots that show up and coming trends, and/ or styles that haven’t already been done to death.
If you are not yet a subscriber of Rock N Roll Bride Magazine, then that needs to change! Today’s shoot is just a snippet of the epic inspiration it contains. It is also a magazine that is wholeheartedly put together with you and only you in mind. And by that I mean real people whether they are black, brown, white, heterosexual, homosexual, curvy, thin, tall, short, tattooed and pierced. This magazine is diverse, refreshing and honest and strives to be as inclusive of the real world as possible and we love it all the more for doing so.
Kat Williams, editor in chief of Rock N Roll Bride, talks us through the shoot, its celestial inspiration and it’s focus on bridal fashion. Make sure you take a moment to take in the gorgeous hair pieces used in this shoot, the intricate detail in the dresses and the beautiful makeup.
Stargazers, get ready for the wedding inspiration of your wildest dreams. It’s time to look skyward and be inspired by all things celestial. With iridescent details and plenty of extra sparkle, these enchanting wedding day looks will be perfect for any star-obsessed bride.
With Rock n Roll Bride magazine, we are always trying to push the envelope and plan shoots that show up and coming trends, and/ or styles that haven’t already been done to death. This shoot actually took place back in March, before stars and celestial elements seemed to explode in popularity – so I guess we succeeded! We actually found it quite tricky to find star themed dresses and accessories to call in, which is funny because a month later when visiting the bridal fashion week trade shows star stuff was EVERYWHERE!
We wanted to keep the focus on the fashion. This is also something we always do with the mag. My opinion on shoots is that there’s really no point setting up a ‘fake wedding’ with cakes and tablescapes and stationery and models who aren’t really a couple. To me these styled shoots usually feel quite cold and sterile. Brides can get so much wedding inspo from all the amazing real weddings we, and all the other blogs, publish! Plus they can read about their love story and how a real couple with a real budget pulled off their wedding, what could be better than that?
However, when it comes to fashion, and what a bride might want to wear, there is SO MUCH amazing, fashion forward bridalwear that isn’t ever seen – either it’s too edgy for lots of real brides to choose, or people aren’t using it for their shoots. We want to change that. I mean, it’s not very often you’d see a bride in a practically see-through jumpsuit but I LOVE THAT.
