This morning we’re taking you to the city streets of Brooklyn, New York where this gorgeously rustic and modern styled shoot took place. Orchestrated by the beautifully talented and creative bohemian bridal designer Marina Semone, the collaboration remained simple, featuring just a small handful of suppliers. Set in Brooklyn Heights, Marina and super-chic photographers Forever Photography NY used the stunning skyline and industrial city backdrop to their advantage. The model swoons around the concrete pavements of New York so effortlessly, accompanied by a dried grass bouquet of rusty oranges, soft apricots and pearls with a pretty, delicately placed messy bun and crown.
We love the everyday hustle and bustle city setting of this shoot, especially the nautical road crossing and retro bottle- green camper in the background of the street shots. Marina uses five gowns in this shoot; all equally as incredible as one another…….but the thin strapped, rose-laced bodice and tulle skirt has us head over heels.
Free-spirited at its finest….we hope you enjoy!
Free-Spirited Brooklyn Style
Words by Bridal Designer Marina Semone
This bridal session was meant to capture the carefree Brooklyn bride in the midst of historic Brooklyn Heights architecture, cobblestone streets, and the Manhattan skyline. Forever Photography NY beautifully captured a free spirited bridal style with a variety of looks and locations. The shoot featured five gowns from my (Marina Semone) 2018 White Willow collection, capturing intricate hand beading and free flowing tulle skirts. Rosewood Floral Co created a natural bridal bouquet from golden and dusty tones and delicate dried grasses. The same dried grasses were also used to create a subtle floral crown. Coordinating florals were also used to create a backdrop of roses within an iron gate. Andrea Mazuera created a fresh, minimal beauty look along with two hair styles, loose waves to compliment the floral crown and a messy braided bun.
