Happy Monday lovely people!
Hope you all had a good weekend.
So Autumn is officially here me thinks. The jumpers, scarf, hat and gloves are out and the heating has been permanently on for the last few days so to keep in with the weather, we’re going to bring you lots of Autumnal posts in the next few weeks – lucky you!
But first it’s my favourite time of the week with Independent Love Song.
I’m going to kind of break the rules a bit today with my song choice as your first dance. It’s not really a great choice for your first dance as the core meaning of the song is about contemplating ending a relationship rather than rejoicing in one BUT it’s such a lovely song that I couldn’t resist sharing it with you.
Maybe the lesson to be learnt from a song like this is that relationships are hard work, they’re not always going to be easy and sometimes the bad patches can really test you as a couple and make you doubt why you fell in love in the first place. But any couple that have been together for a long time will know that sometimes you have to wait out the storm, even when you feel like giving up, and trust that the love that was first there is still there it’s just being masked by circumstances. After all, it is for better or worse right?
Enjoy peeps x
