One of the things I love the most about writing Festival Brides is that I get to introduce you to the coolest wedding suppliers. Suppliers that are packed full of personality, have a huge passion for what they do and are perfectly suited to an outdoor festival wedding. Suppliers like The Three Cockerels Mobile Bar! This beautifully designed rustic bar is the brain child of Rob, James and Matt – three guys from Hampshire who decided to build their own bar and combine their passion for beer with their love for having a good time. Unlike most traditional mobile bars, The Three Cockerels is designed in such a way that it has the same sized bar as most country pubs meaning you and your guests will have plenty of space to spread out whilst waiting to be served. The worst thing at a wedding is queuing for a drink because the bar can only take 3 people at a time but with The Three Cockerels Bar, this will not be a problem!

As well as having an awesome bar the guys also offer an awesome bespoke bar service, with beer and cider on draught, real ale from the cask and large fridge capacity for all of the wine and mixers of your choice.

We asked Rob, James and Matt about the build and design of their quirky rustic bar, the drinks menu they supply, the beer they have on tap and the sort of service you can expect if you book them for your wedding….

Tell Us A Little Bit About Yourselves?

We are Rob, James and Matt – three guys from Hampshire keen on sharing our passion of making great times with great people. Being two brothers and a beef farmer that enjoy a few drinks and good times, we chose to combine both and build our own rustic bar.

As well as being a truly rustic and quirky bar, what else makes The Three Cockerels Bar stand out from a crowd?

The overall appearance is truly unique; an open sided country pub built on an 18ft flatbed trailer certainly makes us stand out! Everyone always says; “The photos don’t do it justice – it’s massive and like nothing I’ve ever seen…” It’s great to hear positive feedback and it makes the hours of grinding and sanding down the timber in Matt’s old cow shed all the more worthwhile.

Tell us a little bit more about The Three Cockerels Mobile Bar?

Let us introduce “The Old Girl” – a converted 18ft farm trailer. Together, after many late nights we’ve built a mobile bar rammed with character from upcycling rustic materials. We offer a bespoke bar service, with beer and cider on draught, real ale from the cask and large fridge capacity for all of the wine and mixers of your choice. We serve from one side and have plenty of bar space and taps for speedy service, so there’ll be no wasting time queuing at the bar with us! We are set up to take card payments as long as there is 3G and happy to take cash if there isn’t.

How does your bar work and what sort of drinks do you offer?

We like to keep things simple and offer three packages; Hosts Pay, Guests Pay or a Mixed Option which combines a bit of both. We charge £250 for saving the date and a ‘make it happen’ fee which is dependent on event specifics. Our minimum spend is set at £1,250 which works out only £10 per head for 120 guests.

We’re proud to offer a complete bar service, stocking and supporting award-winning drinks from local breweries and distilleries across the South Downs. Our top priority is your enjoyment, so if we’re missing your favourite tipple on our drinks menu then we’ll try our best to sort it!

Tell us about your favourite event of 2018?

In our first summer our old but faithful Land Rover has towed The Three Cockerels Bar across Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey and London. We’ve served great people and visited amazing venues along the way. We’ve been to memorable private and public events and served Gabby & Kenny Logan, the TV presenter and X-rugby international at their Invitational Golf Event.

We each have our own favourite event and it’s tough to pick one. Serving at Cowdray Polo Gold Cup in Midhurst was right up there for us, as was Lisa & Martin’s stunning wedding in Surrey, which had a great buzz and a real atmosphere to remember.

If our readers were to book The Three Cockerels for their wedding, what sort of service can they expect?

We’re three guys that never leave a stone unturned. Whether it’s drink choices, set-up times or event access we like to have everything in order and make sure it’s hassle free from booking to event completion. Hosting can be stressful and we limit the stress and aim to create an atmosphere where everyone is enjoying themselves.

What is your best piece of advice you can offer our readers when it comes to choosing a bar for their wedding?

Go for something that offers capacity. Keep the drinks premium and above all, make sure it’s a bar company that are proud to be at your wedding. It’s your day and if we were in your shoes we’d want the guys or girls behind the bar to mirror the atmosphere and enjoy the special occasion. Having the appreciation that it’s someone’s big day rather than just working another weekend is so important and crucial in helping make your wedding a memorable success.
