Ink Love started about four years ago when Cassie’s friends started getting married – The requests began for help designing their invitations. Looking around for inspiration, Cassie (who is a graphic designer) was amazed at how samey everything seemed and how little “alternative” brides were catered for. She started to design ideas with personality as well as style. Cassie is inspired by vintage finds, old movie posters, beautiful hand typography, but most of all, by the couples she designs for…. It’s all about them after all!

A best seller  is the “Village Fete” range, which features a customisable couple that are illustrated to look like the bride and groom (or indeed two brides or two grooms). Cassie has great fun making the characters look like the happy couples, some of whom have had long ginger dreadlocks or cowboy hats and boots!

Ink Love did some cool invites called “Story”. Super personal and very funky these invites told a short story of the couple, from how they met to things they like!! Photography by

The invitations were designed to match the colours of the bridesmaids’ dresses (of which Cassie was one!) and the colours carried through into everything else at the wedding – the flowers, the pom poms, the table settings…They made fun things like little folding quizzes for guests to fill out that matched the style of the invitations, a large table plan that had eleven of their favourite movie posters from the golden age of cinema, doctored to hold the names of the guests on each table, so that it looked like they were the stars in the movies.

Ink Love also produce art prints, customised prints as gifts for couples, or as a keep sake after the wedding!!
