Hello, my name is Richard Skins and I’m a wedding photographer in Dorset covering weddings throughout the UK and Europe. If I turn the clock back 10 years this is something I never thought I would be doing but I’m glad life has taken me in this direction as I believe it’s the best job in the world, well for me anyway. I feel extremely lucky to have a career which allows me to pursue my love of photography, and use it to capture one of the happiest days two people can share!

Laughter, Love & Everything In Between...

My style is mainly documentary wedding photography, it's not your usual looking straight at the camera formal style, I want to capture the day as it was with all the laughter, love and everything in-between. I’ll photograph all the excitement and even some of the nerves. I want to show exactly how the day was! Not some staged part, which only tells a fraction about who you both are.

Destination Weddings...

Even though I love UK weddings I also now focus on destination weddings across Europe as well. I love travelling, to breath new smells, to eat different food and to have new experiences is something that is very exciting to me, so to combine that with my job felt like a perfect direction to travel. I've been lucky enough to photograph some amazing weddings including a Switzerland Alp Wedding with train ride up to the ceremony, an Italian lake wedding in Northern Italy, gorgeous chateau weddings in South-west France & even a gorgeous Lake Bled wedding in Slovenia., hopefully, lots more exciting places to come!
