A Hidden Secret...

Higher Holcombe is a bit of a secret - set in a secluded but accessible corner of Devon near Exeter. The elegantly rustic barn, with chunky beams and a contemporary slate coloured floor, has gentle views of woodland glades, fields and meadows with choices of both indoor and outside ceremony spaces.

Our favourites are the hill-top willow ‘cathedral’ with 3 growing ‘chapels’ at the end of a willow walkway – a lovely meandering woodland aisle. Or you could choose to have your outside ceremony in the woodland silver birch ‘church’. With rows of silver barked birch trees and the gentle rustle of the breeze in the leaves, it also feels rather special and secluded.

Use Your Own Suppliers...

After your nuptials, you’ll be planning for the party to begin! At Higher Holcombe, you have the freedom to choose who will provide your favourite food and drinks. Perhaps informal and relaxed sharing platters, street food vendors, woodland picnic baskets, afternoon tea or a sit-down banquet – it really is up to you. Serve your favourite wines and beer, hire in a bar to serve for you or invite your guests to bring their own! Oh, and by the way – they don’t charge corkage! Hooray!

Chill Around The Fire...

As the sun goes down and the partying gets underway, light the fire, take the weight off your dancing toes and chill out by the flickering flames. . . a fire pit is always a great chill-out zone and you can all enjoy the festoon lights strung up in the up-lit trees. Did anyone bring a guitar?

Fabulous Glamping...

You won’t need to worry about where everyone will stay. With fabulous glamping in spacious 6m Lotus Belle tents as well as 5 bedrooms in the funky farmhouse, there’s plenty of accommodation for your friends and relatives to stay, relax and enjoy this countryside blank canvas venue.
