Afternoon Gorgeous People and Happy Christmas! I hope you have all had a lovely day with family and friends.

In the spirit of Christmas, we have a gorgeous shoot to share with you all today filled with cosmic wedding inspiration, beautiful florals and a gorgeous tablescape that we are seriously vibing. Think boho luxe with some beautifully designed stationery and a colour combination of dark blue and pastel pinks which works oh so very well!

Put together by Louise Roberts of May Rose Floral Design and captured by Che Birch-Hayes Photography, this shoot is full of some wonderful wedding inspiration. We especially love the hand-painted cake by Couture Cakes by Claire. Painted in a watercolour style using an ombre of cosmic colour spiraling up the cake and finished with touches of gold, the cake is a work of art and matches the cosmic starry theme perfectly.

Louise talks us through the shoot and all of the talented suppliers involved…..

Cosmic Twilight Wedding Inspiration…..

Words by Louise Roberts, May Rose Floral Design

The rolling hills of Herefordshire, and the beautiful sunsets, creeping into star studded skies, this, combined with my own love of stars, was the inspiration for this ‘Dusk into Night’ shoot!  This gorgeous venue is nestled amongst the Black mountains, as the sun sets, it captures the last light amazingly.  As it is a very rural venue we knew if we could get a clear night we would have a spectacular view of the night sky.  So the theme was light, the stars, and cosmic colours.  So here is the low down on our fabulous styled shoot:

The Theme….

The theme was light & dark, starry skies, with a touch of rustic glamour. Our colour pallet was gold, dark blue, teals, rich purples and deep pinks.  Crystals and candles

The Venue….

Lower House Farm was chosen as the venue.  A beautifully renovated barn, an ancient ceremony tree, camping field sitting aside woodland and a gorgeous stream.  This venue has so much character that we were spoilt for choice for photo opportunities.

The Dress….

The dress was by Stephanie Kyles Bridal.  Stephanie created the dress specifically to emphasise the brides shape.  Off the shoulder, with delicate star beading, and a sexy side split, made for an awesome look.  Stephanie also added a unique ombre star pattern to the veil.

The Hair….

The hair was by Amy Bemand Hair. Amy beautifully styled our brides hair, half up, half down style with loose waves, which looked awesome with wired flowers and berries.  The bridesmaids hair were styled into a loose bun, and fresh flowers delicately placed into the back of the hair.

The Makeup….

Makeup was by Indulge Beauty and Make up.  The brief for the make-up was lots of sparkle around the eyes and long fluttery eyelashes – a touch of drama, and Sam finished the look off perfectly by using rich deep-red lipstick.

The Groom….

The groom’s attire was by Bill Child Formal Wear.  Our groom looked the part in this fabulous 3 piece navy suit, and tie, which fitted the colour theme perfectly.

The Stationery….

Our beautiful stationery was by Pigment + Paper.  The very talented Brittany designed wonderful detailed  artwork on the invitations, menus, name tags and table plan.  Also incorporating sketches of the flowers used throughout the shoot, the moon and stars, with touches of gold foil to finish.

The Cake….

The stunning cake was by Couture Cakes by Claire. The cake was hand-painted by Claire, in a watercolour style using an ombre of cosmic colour spiraling up the cake.  Touches of gold and flower elements topped it off.

The Flowers….

Our flowers were by myself at May Rose Floral Design.  Using the colour theme I carefully selected the flowers to incorporate lots of texture and movement.  Also I chose flowers that mirrored a starry shape, such as eryngium thistle, clematis, and blushing bride, adding touches of gold throughout

The Tablescape….

Our tablescape was by Dress to Impress by Julie.  Gorgeous gold edged glass chargers, gold cutlery, etched glasses, deep blue chiffon against the natural wood table looked beautiful.  Lots of candles and crystal elements added a unique touch to the table setting.

The Photography….

Our photographer was Che Birch-Hayes Photography.  Che used the sunset and fading light to capture stunning images.  As we progressed into night time, Che was able to use various techniques to ensure some amazing shots, including the stars that were visible that night.
