Woodlands – there’s just something magical about them isn’t there? The sounds, the smells, the way the trees move in the wind, the sense of calm and tranquility that surrounds you from the moment you enter one. I can honestly say that I feel my closest to nature when I am in the woods. I think that is why some of my favourite featured weddings have been those where a woodland has been used in some shape or form, whether it be the couples photos or their ceremony. So it won’t come as a surprise to you that I love today’s shoot captured in the heart of Longton Wood, an outdoor wedding venue in Kent.
With an enchanted fairy-tale feel (cue the adorable little fairy bridesmaids in their tulle tutus) and romantic bohemian style decor, today’s shoot was put together by My Little Tea Party and captured by Matilda Delves with the aim of…
Inspiring couples who want a bit of woodland luxe – a relaxed, informal vibe with stylish touches.
It features a gorgeous colour palette of stylish nudes, blush hues, peach tones, creams and whites with hints of gold and copper which works so well with the woodland backdrop. We are also seriously vibing the balloon ceremony tipi put together by The Glitzy Balloon Company, who are totally debunking the perception that wedding balloons are no longer cool!
With an incredible woodland inspired grazing table, a children’s play area, gorgeous bridal styling and gin cocktails, this shoot ticks a lot of our wedding boxes and comes with a line up that you are most definitely going to want to check out!

A Woodland Fairytale…
Words by My Little Tea Party
This beautiful boho wedding styled shoot was photographed by Matilda Delves and filmed by Emma Hill Film Photography. Inspired by stunning wedding venue, Longton Wood, nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside, the vision for the shoot was created and styled by event planner My Little Tea Party and co-produced with The Glitzy Balloon Company.
We fell in love with the magical location. It had such a unique, enchanted fairy-tale feel and we wanted to encapsulate this through the styling. We opted for a colour palette of stylish nudes, blush hues, peach tones, creams and whites with hints of gold and copper. We enlisted the help of prop hire company, Locate to Create, to provide beautiful rustic vintage furniture and props. We wanted the shoot to inspire couples wanting a bit of woodland luxe – a relaxed, informal vibe with stylish touches.

A Luxe Picnic Grazing Table…
For the wedding breakfast, we wanted to tap into the grazing table trend. Shot against a stunning bell tent, from the The Hip Hooray Company, a luxe picnic style dining table featured a lavish grazing runner by caterer, The Curated Kitchen. The stunning display was completed with stylish white and gold vintage china and glassware from Harriet’s Table and simple classic stationery by Lilac and White.
Cake designer Cakeybake created a breathtaking 4 tier wedding cake, with a stunning floral hoop made from delicate sugar flowers and finished with hand dyed silk ribbon by C Fleurs Design. An impressive galvanised steel cake stand was filled with artisan french macarons by The Crow Kitchen.

Botanical Embroidery & Balloons…
A beautiful natural ceremony area with a rustic tipi featured a stunning floral balloon garland created by The Glitzy Balloon Company. Gorgeous blush tones were paired with chrome accents and huge handcrafted paper flowers by Designs by Stella.
Story of My Dress bridal provided two stunning wedding dresses by independent British designers. For the ceremony, bride Danielle wore a beautiful botanical embroidered tulle gown by designer Kindling Bridal, teamed with a veil by Story of My Dress. For the evening, the bride wore a dreamy, embellished polka dot tulle dress by Amy Mair Couture. Groom Jacob wore tailored grey trousers and braces from Next, paired with a simple white shirt for a relaxed informal vibe.
Melie’s Tutus created pretty tulle and lace dresses for the bridesmaids. These were complimented by stunning floral crowns by Mrs Beasley’s Bows.

Beautiful, Soft & Romantic…
We wanted the bride to have an effortlessly beautiful feel. Make-up artist Kerry Ann Wells created a soft, natural dewy make-up look and hair stylist Sinsational Lox created a twisted up do for a soft romantic look. This was complimented by handmade hair accessories by Tunbridge Wells based studio, Eden B. Bridesmaids had natural loose waves and boho braids.
Fleurista created a stunning loose romantic bridal bouquet accessorised with long silk ribbons by C Fleurs Design. Florals throughout featured peach Avalanche Roses, pink Lisianthus, pink Peonies, Hypericum berries, Spirea, Hellebores and mixed foliages including grey Eucalyptus to create a wild, whimsical look.
A Boho Children’s Corner…
The little guests had so much fun in an adorable boho themed children’s corner, created and styled by My Little Tea Party. Complete with a huge lace tipi, vintage games and activity boxes, place mats and signage by Orange Party Duck
Gin Cocktails, A Fire Pit and A Bridal Jacket…
For the evening reception, The Little Bar Co provided a beautiful vintage converted horse trailer which doubled up as a gin bar. A rustic barrel bar with a tower of gin cocktails framed by herbs, citrus, foliage and stylish signage by Lilac and White, added to the super cool vibe. Delicate little botanical favour bags were provided by Make It Friday.
Longton Wood’s unique chill out area, complete with hand carved cedar log benches and fire pit, was the perfect place to sip on a gin cocktail. We styled this with cosy blankets and cushions from Brolly and Bucket. As things turned chilly, the bride accessorised her gorgeous dress with a beautifully hand scripted leather jacket by Scritto.
