We are kicking off the spooky season on Festival Brides today with a gorgeous rustic autumnal styled shoot put together by My Little Tea Party in collaboration with The Glitzy Balloon Company. It is, of course, inspired by Halloween and brings with it some wonderful decor ideas that provide great inspiration not just for your wedding reception, but a Halloween themed party as well! Think balloon garlands galore, gorgeous dried flower installations, an autumnal colour palette with hints of grey, grazing style platters complete with creepy little treats, the most wonderful skeleton and pumpkin biscuits and a rustic meets allure tablescape with copper etched glassware and crockery. There is even a piano bar with spiced cocktails laid out to inspire you too!

When asked about the shoot, Kim Webb of My Little Tea Party said…

I teamed up with my partner in gorgeousness, The Glitzy Balloon Company, to create a luxe Halloween inspired celebration with all the wow factor! We wanted it to be the perfect inspo for couples planning an Autumn wedding, a themed bridal shower or even a decadent night before dinner. We collaborated with an amazing team of suppliers to create a stunning “Spooky Soirée”.

Enjoy lovely people and make sure you keep your eyes peeled on the blog this week for more Halloween themed inspiration!

A Spooky Soirée…

Words by Kim Webb of My Little Tea Party

Medieval venue Lympne Castle in the Kent countryside provided the perfect setting and the images were beautifully captured by photographer Fleur Challis.

We loved this dreamy autumnal colour pallet with shades of burnt orange, ochre & rusty reds combined with accents of copper and gold.

I wanted to create a stunning tablescape packed full of beautiful details. I used ornate glass chargers, gold and white vintage crockery,  amber glassware and brass candlesticks with tall coloured taper candles and added beautiful hand dyed table linen and white and gold pumpkins

Place settings featured gold cobweb artisan lollipops by Sugar Pop, hand decorated pumpkin and skull cookies by Cookie Town and beautiful calligraphy place names and menus by Boards by Jess.

A spectacular A frame sat over the dining table and was styled with a magnificent floral installation created by florists Sylvestrium Flowers.

Beautiful floral table and floor displays featured Dahlias, rudbeckia, zinnia and autumnal foliage along with dried elements including amaranthus, pampas grass, miscanthus and bracken and a mixture of seed heads and dried flowers.

Guests were treated to a delicious themed grazing platter by the amazing Star Grazing Co! Packed full of Halloween themed delights from prosciutto severed hand to witches fingers, popping candy cobwebs, to edible glass with blood!.Cakey Bake created a beautiful burnt orange buttercream cake with gold drip and dried flowers.

The Glitzy Balloon Company worked her magic an incredible floral balloon installation spanning the castle wall and into the fireplace.

One of my favourite props was a quirky vintage piano bar from The Little Wedding Warehouse. I dressed with cute props and gold skulls. Beautiful florals and some decadent cocktails completed the look and gave a super stylish nod to Halloween!
