On this chilly winters afternoon we have the most beautiful wedding shoot to share with you. Captured in a 19th Century barn in rural Germany, this shoot was put together by Madita Bley Photography who drew inspiration from the original features of the barn to create a wedding shoot that is both rustic, romantic and decadent.
We love the gold, brown, green and black colour palette that runs so beautifully through each element, especially in the cakes which look amazing. We also love the oh so pretty Ulrike Schneider wedding dress with its beautiful back detail.
I don’t know about you but this shoot reminds me of Christmas and for all the right reasons! I think it’s the wreaths and the rich Christmassy colours!
Madita talks us through her ideas for the shoot and all the wonderful suppliers involved…
A Rustic Wedding in 19th Germany…..
It all started with my vision of creating something rustic in context with a wedding. We’d just bought this old house and it came with the very old barn (the barn is about 170 years old). All you see on the pictures is the original windows, doors and walls. That’s how you lived, about 200 years ago in the northern part of Germany.
I thought of a colour concept and I was looking for something that matches the colours in the barn. I love gold, brown, green and black. But I really needed a nice fruity colour, so I also went for velvet red.
After my idea and the concept was clear I wrote to a few of people that I already worked with, or I really wanted to work with. All of them loved my idea, together with them I filed at our wedding idea. It was a little bit of organisation but in total the result is perfect, and we all love the shooting.
The couple we got the pictures with were so cute and absolutely in love with each other.
